3D NLS method. Scans were performed using a Metatron Hunter 4025 and a software program that allowed visualization of all bones, surrounding soft tissue, and lymph nodes. The NLS study begins with a total body assessment, followed by a detailed assessment of the following body regions: head and neck; trunk and proximal shoulders; pelvis and proximal femur. The study protocol for each anatomical site included the following data: 3D large-scale NLS scans in 3 mutually transverse planes; spectral entropy analysis of ultramicroscopic scan patterns in the region of interest. The total time required for the study is approximately 30 minutes.

Within 2 h after intravenous injection of 740 Mbk 99mTs-Technephore, bone scans of the skeletal system were performed according to standard methods using a dual-detector gamma camera in anterior and posterior views. Images are captured using low-energy, high-resolution collimated optics; the entire stage moves at a speed of 12-16 cm/min. The scanning process takes 15-20 minutes.

A focal or diffuse (homogeneous or heterogeneous) increase in lesion chromogenicity of more than 4 points was considered a sign of metastatic disease during NLS imaging according to the Fleindler scale. Bone marrow changes are considered benign if they lie directly below the degenerated disc or near the articular surface. Spectral entropy analysis is crucial in all cases.

Hyperspectral similarity (D<0,425) to standard "metastatic tumor subclones" is often referred to as metastatic lesions. Validation of spectral entropy analysis results was based on histological examination of rings received after ring biopsy of bone tissue in the region of interest. The results of spectral entropy analysis were confirmed histologically in 99.1% of cases.

Estimate the likelihood of metastatic disease (at the time of bone scan) based on the location and number of hyperactive lesions, taking into account radiopharmaceutical overfixation therein.
